Welcome to Storyschooling!

Hi! I’m Karyn. I have been a Christian homeschooling mama to 6 children for over 20 years. I would love to teach you how to read and learn the whole Bible with your children AND how to study what matters.

What is Storyschooling?

The very heart of Storyschooling is a 16-year Bible and literature journey. Starting at age 2, the journey takes you and your children chronologically through the whole Bible, four times throughout their childhood. The first 3 years of each journey has you reading through the whole Bible, while the fourth year has you engaging in deeper Bible studies as you travel through Christian history.

The central purpose it to immerse you and your children in God’s word so that by the time they are adults, your children will know the word of God, having hidden it deep in their hearts. Through this, my prayer is that they will enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and will be confidently armed to continue journeying through this world, equipped with the whole armour of God. May they be strengthened in a resolve to follow Jesus all the days of their lives.

However… Storyschooling is also SO much more than this. While laying the foundation of a true education, we will be making thematic connections with what we are reading in the Bible and what others have to say about God’s world. These connections will cover lots of literature of many genres (by both Christians and non-Christians alike) along with music and art, in order to prepare our children (and us) to engage well with the world in which we live. This will introduce you to varying worldviews and Biblical apologetics in a gentle and conversational format, even if you are unfamiliar with these when you begin.

As we continue throughout each year, I will be your guide not only through the Bible but I will also direct you to great books and other resources that will help you to navigate each day with ease. Let’s journey together đź©·

The Gospel of Jesus Christ
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
– John 1:12-13
